The Players Who Shared the Pitch with Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar

Football has produced countless stars, but very few players can say they have played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar during the same career. Sharing a dressing room with three icons from three different footballing eras is an exceptionally rare achievement.

The latest player to join that exclusive club is Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder won three Champions League titles with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, has been Neymar’s long-time teammate with Brazil, and has now become a teammate of Messi at Inter Miami.

So who were the players who achieved this remarkable feat before him?

Casemiro: A Link Between Three Eras

Casemiro’s career reads like a condensed history of modern football. He was a key figure in Ronaldo’s Real Madrid, has shared the Brazil midfield with Neymar for years, and now plays alongside Messi in Major League Soccer. His place among this rare group is now firmly secured.

Sergio Ramos

Ramos may have the most dramatic journey of all. He spent 16 years at Real Madrid from 2005 to 2021, winning multiple Champions League titles with Ronaldo. For years he was one of Messi’s fiercest rivals in El Clasico. Then, in 2021, he joined Paris Saint-Germain and shared a dressing room with both Messi and Neymar.

Ángel Di María

Di María has been one of Messi’s closest teammates for Argentina since 2008. Between 2010 and 2014 he played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and helped the club win La Décima in 2014. After moving to PSG in 2015, he became Neymar’s teammate from 2017 until 2022.

Keylor Navas

The Costa Rican goalkeeper witnessed all three superstars from a unique perspective. At Real Madrid from 2014 to 2019 he won three consecutive Champions League titles with Ronaldo. After joining PSG in 2019, he first played with Neymar and later with Messi from 2021 onward.

Gerard Piqué

The story began at La Masia, where teenage Messi and Piqué trained together. In 2004 Piqué moved to Manchester United and shared a dressing room with a young Ronaldo until 2008. He then returned to Barcelona, won numerous titles with Messi, and later played alongside Neymar from 2013 to 2017.

Achraf Hakimi

Hakimi started his career at Real Madrid, played with Ronaldo, and won the Champions League in 2017-18. After spells at Inter Milan, he joined PSG in 2021 and spent two seasons alongside both Messi and Neymar.

Arthur Melo

Arthur played with Messi at Barcelona from 2018 to 2020. He then joined Juventus for the 2020-21 season and became Ronaldo’s teammate, while also sharing the Brazil national team with Neymar.

André Gomes

Gomes played alongside Messi and Neymar at Barcelona during the 2016-17 season and was also Ronaldo’s teammate with Portugal.

Pablo Sarabia

Sarabia has perhaps the strangest connection of all. In 2010 he made his only first-team appearance for Real Madrid as a substitute for Ronaldo. After spells at Getafe and Sevilla, he joined PSG in 2019, where he later played with both Neymar and Messi.

Joined PSG in 2020 and became a teammate of Messi and Neymar, while also playing with Ronaldo for Portugal.
