English Club Signs Two of Real Madrid’s Rising Stars Together

Fulham have produced one of the most eye-catching moves of the summer transfer window by signing two promising young players from Real Madrid — forward Gonzalo Garcia and attacking midfielder Cesar Palacios.

The Premier League side have handed both Spaniards long-term contracts running until 2031, with an option to extend the deals by a further year.

Fulham reportedly paid around £34 million to secure the services of 22-year-old Gonzalo Garcia. The striker previously worked under Fulham’s new manager Alvaro Arbeloa during his time in Madrid. Speaking after completing the move, Garcia said, “I’m grateful for the confidence Fulham have shown in me and excited to begin this new chapter.”

Garcia enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, scoring eight goals in 39 appearances for Real Madrid’s senior team. He also made his debut for the Spanish national team and finished as one of the joint top scorers at last year’s FIFA Club World Cup.

Following Garcia, 21-year-old Cesar Palacios has also arrived at Craven Cottage. The attacking midfielder made five appearances for Real Madrid’s first team as a substitute and has represented Spain at under-20 level.

By bringing in two highly rated Spanish attacking talents at the same time, Fulham have sent a strong signal of their ambition ahead of the new season and their desire to become a more competitive force in the Premier League.
