Chelsea returned from the international break in emphatic fashion, cruising to a 5-1 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Jordan Henderson and Joao Pedro both scored twice as Xabi Alonso’s side produced one of their most dominant performances of the season. Morgan Rogers also got on the scoresheet as Chelsea took control of the match almost immediately.

Henderson Strikes Early

Chelsea needed less than two minutes to open the scoring. Henderson produced a superb curling effort to put the hosts ahead and marked his home debut with his first goal for the club.

The experienced midfielder then played a key role in the second goal, setting up Morgan Rogers just moments later. Chelsea had a 2-0 advantage inside the opening three minutes, leaving Bournemouth under severe pressure from the start.

Joao Pedro Extends Chelsea’s Lead

Chelsea continued to dominate after the break and scored their third just a minute into the second half through Joao Pedro.

Bournemouth briefly threatened a comeback when Evanilson pulled one back in the 51st minute, but their hopes quickly disappeared.

Joao Pedro restored Chelsea’s three-goal advantage in the 67th minute, finishing from close range after Rogers found Pep Chavarria, whose cross was turned into the net by the Brazilian forward.

Henderson Completes a Stunning Night

Henderson saved his best moment for the closing stages. The veteran midfielder stepped up for a free-kick and curled a spectacular effort into the net to complete his brace and make it 5-1.

Henderson finished the game with two goals and an assist, while Joao Pedro also scored twice. The emphatic victory gave Chelsea a strong response after the international break and underlined the attacking quality available to Alonso.
