Litton Makes Test Return After Injury
Litton Das has returned to Bangladesh’s squad for the first Test against Australia after recovering from a calf injury. The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 16-member squad for the opening match of the two-Test series, which begins on 13 August in Darwin.
The wicketkeeper-batter had been out of action since June but has made good progress in his recovery. He will join the team in Darwin on Sunday and could be available for selection if declared fully fit.
Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the side, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz serving as vice-captain. The squad also includes Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque, Soumya Sarkar, Taskin Ahmed, Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Ebadot Hossain, and Jaker Ali Anik.
The opening Test between Bangladesh and Australia will start on 13 August in Darwin.
