South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has drawn attention for a humanitarian initiative supporting the families of members of her team. She has arranged essential food supplies for 400 families for three months and plans to continue similar assistance over the next year.
Rashmika hopes the initiative will help families save money on groceries and set aside more funds for their future needs.
The actress said her role as Jayamma in the upcoming film Ranabali inspired her to take this step. She explained that she found similarities between her own values and those of the character.
Rashmika had initially wanted to keep the initiative private. However, she decided to share it publicly in the hope that her actions might encourage others to help people in need.
The story of Ranabali, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, is set against the backdrop of famine and hardship during British rule. Vijay plays the warrior Ranabali, while Rashmika portrays his wife, Jayamma.
