Real Madrid produced a commanding 4-1 victory over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night, with Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappe scoring spectacular goals to put the hosts in control.

Guler opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a brilliant curling left-footed strike from just outside the box. Three minutes later, Mbappe nearly doubled the advantage, only for Sevilla’s goalkeeper to deny him.

The French forward did not have to wait long for his goal. Jude Bellingham’s clever backheel released Mbappe, who turned sharply near the edge of the box before beating a defender and the goalkeeper with a superb finish.

Thibaut Courtois was also called into action before half-time, producing an outstanding one-handed save to keep Sevilla from getting back into the game.

Mbappe Scores Again From the Spot

Real Madrid continued to threaten after the break, and Mbappe added his second goal in the 63rd minute.

The forward was fouled inside the box, earning Real a penalty. Mbappe converted with a confident Panenka to make it 3-0.

The goal took his tally for Real Madrid to 11 in 11 matches across all competitions this season, including nine goals in La Liga.

Sevilla pulled one back in the 80th minute through substitute Manu Bueno, giving the visitors a brief hope of a comeback.

But two minutes later, Yan Diomande restored Real Madrid’s three-goal advantage with another spectacular strike. After receiving a pass from Aurelien Tchouameni, the 19-year-old advanced down the left before firing a powerful shot from outside the box through two defenders and into the net.

The 4-1 victory gives Real Madrid 21 points from nine La Liga matches, moving them into third place. Atletico Madrid are second with 22 points, while Barcelona lead the table with 27.

Sevilla remain sixth with 14 points after suffering their third defeat of the campaign.

The victory provides an ideal boost for Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League clash with Leipzig on Wednesday and next Sunday’s La Liga meeting with Barcelona.
